Monday, July 11th, 2011

Elmsford, N.Y. (PRWEB) March 1, 2010

Turtle Beach, the leaders in XBOX 360 gaming headsets, today announced its new Ear Force X11 stereo gaming headset for the XBOX 360 and PC gaming. Featuring vastly improved sound quality and an enhanced ergonomic design, the X11 embodies an attention to detail that characterizes the entire line of Ear Force headsets from Turtle Beach, making it ideal for playing popular XBOX? titles such as Battlefield Bad Company? 2, Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2?, Call of Duty? Modern Warfare? 2, HALO? 3, Left 4 Dead? 2, Assassin?s Creed II, and Guitar Hero?.

?The X1 has been the XBOX gaming community?s favorite stereo headset for more than 3 years.? says Peter Ronick, Director of Marketing. ?There is no other stereo gaming headset more widely used by XBOX 360 gamers than the X1?arguably the best-selling stereo XBOX gaming headset of all time. Now, the torch has been passed to the X11, a successor that might prove to be even more popular with an improved look, enhanced sound quality and comfort features at the same affordable price.?

Visually compatible with the Ear Force X31 and X41 wireless headsets, the X11 sports a black and white design motif with circum-aural ear cups, a deep-cushioned headband and long, adjustable boom mic. For added comfort, the ear cups have been made larger with deep fabric-mesh cushions that sit comfortably around the ears, allowing for enhanced game play for longer periods of time. An extra-long 16-foot cable makes it easy to move around the room while playing XBOX games. Features include:

Independent volume controls for game and voice signals to balance XBOX LIVE? chat and stereo game sound.
Large, acoustically-tuned ear cups with 40mm drivers produce superior audio with deep bass for all types of games, digital music, and entertainment.
Integrated bass-boost makes explosions, gun shots and other deep-bass effects more dramatic by increasing the impact of low frequency sound cues.
DC-coupled amplifiers provide super-wide bandwidth down to 0Hz while eliminating the distortion caused by speaker-coupling capacitors.
A microphone with a rugged, oversized, flexible boom accurately reproduces the gamer?s voice during chat sessions.
A microphone monitor keeps gamers from raising their voices louder than necessary and avoids the ?under water? feeling that results when you can?t hear yourself speak.

While designed for the XBOX, the Ear Force X11 can also be used as a PC headset by virtue of its independent 3.5mm microphone and line audio plugs.

The Ear Force X11 headset has an MSRP of $ 59.95 and will be available at major US retailers including Best Buy, GameStop, Wal-Mart, Amazon, Newegg and at major Canadian retailers including Best Buy Canada and Future Shop, as well as from the Turtle Beach web site http://www.turtlebeach.com. E3 2011: Turtle Beach Debuts A New Generation of XBOX 360 Gaming Headsets at E3 2011

Sunday, July 10th, 2011

Elmsford, N.Y (PRWEB) June 07, 2011

Turtle Beach, the leader in premium gaming headsets announces two exciting additions to their XBOX 360 line up of gaming headsets. The story begins with the top of the line Ear Force XP500 Programmable Wireless Gaming Headset with Dolby7.1 Surround Sound and Bluetooth Chat; the long-awaited XBOX 360 focused companion to the acclaimed PX5 introduced earlier this year. At the other end is the economical and performance-packed Ear Force XL1 Amplified Stereo Gaming Headset. These headsets join the recently announced PX3 and Z6A models, all making their debuts at the 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, California, from June 7-9, 2011 at the Turtle Beach booth #435 in the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Turtle Beach Ear Force XP500 Programmable Wireless Gaming Headset with Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound and Wireless XBOX 360 Chat

Like the revolutionary Ear Force PX5, the new Ear Force XP500 delivers all of the PX5?s impressive features, along with wireless XBOX 360 chat via Bluetooth. Like the PX5, the XP500 incorporates programmable custom presets that allow independent customization of the chat, game and microphone signals. These custom presets are stored in the headset and can be selected on the fly during specific parts of the game to emphasize sounds like enemy footsteps or ammo reloads that might otherwise be difficult to hear.

The XP500 sets itself apart from the PX5 with its ability to function with the XBOX 360 completely wirelessly right out of the box. The included XBOX 360 Bluetooth Chat Adapter (XBA) lets players eliminate the chat wire connecting their headset and controller, making it the first XBOX 360 headset with wireless chat. The XP500?s dual-paring Bluetooth functionality also enables the headset to answer mobile phone calls and stream music from Bluetooth enabled digital audio players while enjoying the freedom of wireless chat. The XBA adapter will also be available for purchase on the Turtle Beach website for PX5 owners looking to upgrade to full wireless XBOX LIVE chat.

?The PX5 pioneered a new generation of headsets that recalibrated people?s expectations of what a gaming headset can be.? Said Carmine Bonanno, President and CEO of Turtle Beach. ?With the release of the XP500, XBOX 360 owners can enjoy the super-premium gaming experience they have been waiting for, complete with wireless chat.?

Key features and user benefits of the Turtle Beach Ear Force XP500 include:

????Customizable Presets: Configure up to 18 personalized presets to optimize game, chat, and microphone audio for different gaming situations. The New Xbox Kinect: The Next Step In Gaming ? Marshall Ward

Saturday, July 9th, 2011

(PRWeb UK) December 18, 2010

Home entertainment, and gaming in particular, is on the verge of being changed forever. Every so often a new product is released that takes the norm and pushes its boundaries a little further; the Xbox Kinect represents a quantum leap. Marshall Ward takes a look at this new platform?s capabilities.

Microsoft is launching their latest console offering on 10 November in the UK and it is set to transform the way that games are played. Using players? bodies as controllers and allowing an entirely different way of interacting, the Xbox Kinect is sure to provide endless hours worth of entertainment this winter in homes across the UK.

As an introduction to the system, people buying the new Xbox Kinect will receive a free game entitled Kinect Adventures. This demonstrative game is a fun way for gamers to get to grips with the new system?s operation and capabilities. Users can complete an obstacle course on a mountain top, enjoy white water rafting or go deep sea diving to gain a deeper understanding of the new Kinect?s potential.

The new Xbox Kinect?s capabilities aren?t limited to gaming as it will make browsing an already user friendly system even easier. With simple hand gestures and movements, users will be able to navigate their media libraries, game archives and console menus. Not satisfied with just making the navigation of consoles simpler, Microsoft have adapted their new product to allow Xbox Live members to log in and out of the online system by means of facial and vocal recognition.

The Xbox Kinect has the potential to change the way that console games are played forever and it is sure to be a bestseller during the upcoming Christmas shopping season.
